Amy Mengel, Merit’s vice president of marketing, was elected to a second term on the national executive committee of PRSA’s Counselors to Higher Education section. CHE is a professional interest section of the Public Relations Society of America, and serves nearly 700 senior-level communications and marketing professionals working at colleges and universities in the United States.
Mengel, who will serve another two-year term beginning in January 2017, is a member of the membership and retention sub-committee and has also assisted with planning PRSA CHE’s annual signature event, the Senior Summit. She was elected along with Renea Morris, chief marketing officer at Ohio University; Kent Casella, AVP for communications at Michigan State University; Lori Bachand, AVP for advancement communications at Sacramento State; and executive director of public relations at the College of Saint Benedict/St. John’s University.
The CHE executive committee plans and executes professional development, thought leadership, and networking opportunities for the section. Merit has been a partner and premier sponsor of PRSA CHE’s Senior Summit since 2010. This year’s Summit will be held in Washington, DC in April 5-7.
