Telling the story of one of the nation’s original “Public Ivy” universities is an endeavor that requires collaboration and partnership from the entire campus community, and not just the university’s communications and marketing office.

Merit proved to be a powerful way to unite the campus in identifying powerful, positive stories of student success and achievement. By starting slowly, sharing results internally, and giving other departments the opportunity to participate, Miami University’s Merit strategy has blossomed into a cross-campus effort to reach stakeholders with proof points of what it means to be a Public Ivy.
