Printable Certificates now display public URLs for students to use.

Students are the only users who have access to these public URLs. The URL can be found by logging into their Merit account, going to certificates, and clicking on the certificate they wish to get the public URL for. The URL is unique for each certificate and students can use these public URLs to share their certificates digitally:

  • On Social Media

  • Via Email

  • As a Link on Personal Websites

  • As a Link on Digital Resumes

It’s simple to use. All the student does is copy and paste the public URL into whatever digital platform they wish to share it through. Those who see their post or receive access to their link are then able to access the printable certificate page to reshare themselves or print out to frame.

How Printable Certificates Public URLs Impact Students

These public URLs give students another opportunity to share their academic achievements online. Printable certificates offer a tangible and physical award to students that empower them to put forth their best while attending your institution. As much as students love being recognized in the achievements your school publishes, printable certificates serve as a physical token for their accomplishments that they can showcase and/or share with their parents to showcase.

How Printable Certificates Public URLs Impact Institutions

Now that students can share their certificates digitally, especially socially they have even more potential to boost your institution’s brand awareness and recognition.

Certificates showcase to prospective students your school’s dedication to honoring their achievements big or small.

Share this Update with Your Students

Let your students know that they can now do more with certificates by emailing your student body. Encourage them to share their certificates online, with family, mentors and friends.

Two New Categories

Merit has also added two new categories for certificates so you can further diversify your designs. The two new categories that have been added are Provost's List and Chancellor's List. These can be used on achievements and connected to their respective certificate templates just like Dean's or President's Lists.
