Merit Feature Enhancement: Printable Certificates Reporting
With the recent release of printable certificates, the team has been working to add enhancements to this feature to support both students and users. We recently released an update that gave students access to public URLs. Click here to read more about this previous feature enhancement.
The next step our team has prioritized to provide Merit users with is printable certificates reporting analytics.
Printable Certificates Reporting Details
As discussed in the previous feature enhancement blog post, students are the only users who can share printable certificate public URLs across their digital networks:
On Social Media
Via Email
As a Link on Personal Websites
As a Link on Digital Resumes
Certificate engagement will now be reported on each achievement engagement report that issued a printable certificate.
You will now see analytics on page views, social media actions, email actions and the number of certificates printed.
The total number of page views is the combination of two types:
Private Page Views - All student views to the printable certificate page
Public Page Views - All views to the printable certificate public URL page
In the Reports section of Merit, certificate page views will impact the metrics you see displayed.
Total page views and social media metrics will now include and attribute certificate engagement to these overall metrics.
Certificate metrics are now reported on their own card. You will now see the total number of certificates issued over the time period you are analyzing. Additionally, the number of students issued certificates, the most issued certificate type and the certificate type that received the most engagement will also be reported.
The page views card will also attribute certificate page views to its reporting. The breakdown of top preferring sites may also identify printable certificates as a top referring site depending on volume.
Now that certificates contribute towards your social media impact, these metrics will now account for certificate social media engagement and impressions.
Lastly, the achievements card now contains an additional bullet point reporting on the number of certificates issued.
Empower Your Students To Share Their Successes
Certificate public URLs give students another opportunity to share their academic achievements online. Let your students know that they can now do more with certificates by emailing your student body. Encourage them to share their certificates online, with family, mentors and friends and include a link to our last blog post to provide them with directions on how to access and share their certificates.
