Customize your Merit Page and Add Photos

Here you can customize the details on your Merit page, including its URL, layout and images. 

Click on the My Account link, and then on the Merit Page tab:

Create a custom URL

When your page is created, it will have URL automatically assigned to it. You can customize this URL here, making it easier to share your page with others. 

Choose your page layout and photos

There are multiple options for your Merit page layout. You can choose between the Featured Photo or Centered Photo layouts. Simply choose the layout that you like best. Here are your options:

Note: If you choose the featured photo option, you will not need to upload a cover photo. If you select the centered photo option, but do not upload a cover photo, your school's Merit background (or color) will appear by default. 

You can choose to automatically upload a profile photo
 from one of the social media accounts you've connected to your Merit account. 

My Account

After signing into your Merit Page, you can manipulate multiple settings under My Account as shown below:

Change your email address

The email address shown here is your default address for signing into Merit. You will receive notifications at this address every time your Merit Page is updated. You can also use your Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn account to sign in, instead.

Change your password

You can change your password at any time by entering a new password and clicking the update password button.


My Merit Page

Your personalized Merit page is the home for all of the verified accomplishments that schools and other institutions you are affiliated with publish about you. Think of it as an online personal newsroom for your academic accomplishments. 

Your Merit page helps you build a powerful, positive online identity with a collection of achievements that will benefit you as you move forward in your academic career, and later on when you seek employment.

What is a Merit Page?

Your Merit page is built for you by your college, and showcases your unique, meaningful college experience. It acts as a personal newsroom for your academic career, showcasing your accomplishments, achievements, activities, and more. 

Accomplishments such as making the Dean's list, graduating from college, studying abroad, and other important milestones will be added to your page directly from the institutions you are affiliated with.

In addition to these automatic updates to your page, you can further customize it with photos, extracurricular activities, and more. 

Your Merit page is also useful for seeking employment, with options to upload your resume and list your employment history. 

Getting Started with Merit

Step 1: Login from your Merit welcome email

Your Merit page is created by your school, employer, honor society, or other organization that you are affiliated with. When your page is created, you'll receive a welcome email from Merit, with a secure link to login to your Merit page.
